Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how WDA Careers ("WDA Careers," "we," "us"), a William David Advisors company, collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit wda.careers, submit a form, schedule a conversation or otherwise work with us. It applies to clients and prospective clients, candidates and visitors.

Information we collect

Information you give us

• Talent Network submissions: name, email, phone, location, LinkedIn profile, current role, role interests, work preference, notes and the résumé you upload.
• Start a Search submissions: name, email, phone, location, organization, role, timeline, compensation range, notes and any role brief you upload.
• Correspondence and scheduling: information you share by email, phone, video call or when booking time with us through Microsoft Bookings.
• Search engagements: information exchanged during a search, including interview notes, references and feedback, handled under the engagement agreement and this policy.

Information collected automatically

• Security and delivery data: our site is delivered by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP address, browser type and request logs to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to confirm a real person is submitting them.
• Fonts: pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and browser information when the fonts are requested.
• No advertising or tracking cookies: we do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels or third-party analytics cookies.

Information from other sources

When identifying candidates for a search, we may review professional information that people have made publicly available, such as professional networking profiles, and information provided by referrals.

How we use information

• To run searches: understanding a client's needs, identifying, evaluating and presenting candidates, and coordinating interviews.
• To match candidates with relevant opportunities and contact them about roles.
• To respond to inquiries, schedule conversations and manage our client and candidate relationships.
• To operate, secure and improve the site and our services, and to prevent spam and fraud.
• To meet legal, accounting and regulatory obligations and to enforce our agreements.

How we share information

• Candidates: we do not share your profile or résumé with a client without your consent. Before presenting you for a role, we will confirm with you.
• Clients: information about a search is shared only with the candidates and people involved in that search, on a need-to-know basis.
• Service providers: we use trusted providers to run our business, including Microsoft 365 (email, SharePoint and Bookings), Cloudflare (site delivery and security) and our invoicing provider. They process information on our behalf and under their own security and privacy commitments.
• Legal and safety: when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, sale or reorganization of the business.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Retention

We keep candidate profiles and résumés while they remain relevant to potential opportunities, or until you ask us to remove them. We keep client and search records for as long as needed to deliver the engagement, honor any replacement commitment and meet legal and accounting requirements. We periodically review and remove information we no longer need.

Security

Submissions are sent over encrypted connections and stored in access-controlled Microsoft 365 systems. Access to our internal dashboard requires authenticated sign-in. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.

Your choices and rights

You may ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to remove you from our Talent Network, at any time by emailing hi@wda.careers. You may opt out of role outreach by replying to any message or emailing us. Depending on where you live, including California, you may have additional rights under local law; we will honor them as required and will not discriminate against you for exercising them. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Children

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Location of processing

We are based in the United States and process information in the United States. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date above shows when it last changed. Material changes will be posted on this page.
